West Chester Fire Department is looking for volunteers

WEST CHESTER, PA — Have you ever considered giving back to your community? There are plenty of opportunities to volunteer at one of The West Chester Fire Department’s three locations.

The West Chester Fire Department announced they are looking for members who are 14 and older, with no experience necessary. They will provide 100 percent of all of the training required at no cost to volunteers. They are seeking Active Firefighters and members who can help with administration (fundraising, maintenance, etc.).

The West Chester Fire Department is comprised of three 100 percent volunteer fire companies. Moreover, on average, the West Chester Fire Department responds to over 1,200 calls for service each year.

In March, the department placed into service two new Fire Engines.  Both Engines were built by Custom Fire Apparatus, Inc. in Wisconsin and feature Hale Q-Max 2250 GPM pumps with 750 Gallon Water Tanks.  They look forward to these apparatus serving the community for many years to come.
