Local Real Estate Agents Put Business on Pause to Serve Community

WEST CHESTER, PA — This year, Keller Williams Brandywine Valley is continuing the relief efforts they began in March 2020 at the height of the “stay at home order”, March through May of 2020.

At the time, Keller Williams real estate agents raised over 5,000 to pay for and deliver restaurant-quality meals to several non-profits such as Safe Harbor of West Chester, the West Chester Area Senior Center, the St Agnes Day Room and  Chester Eastside. These nonprofits rely on fundraising and volunteers to support homeless and low-income families in Chester and Delaware Counties, which were not available to them during that time and many are still struggling.

“All year long our agents participate in charitable efforts in the community through donating , time, and talents. RED DAY is the one day a year that we get to be ‘hands-on’ and make a collective impact in our own backyard,” stated Ashley Lubrano di Caruozzo, Director of Agent Services. “RED DAY gives us the opportunity to work with these organizations and connect with the people who need us the most.”

For this year’s Day of Service, scheduled for May 13, 2021, Keller Williams Brandywine Valley is continuing its efforts and supporting the “mother ship” of local non-profits, the Chester County Food Bank. Keller Williams real estate agents will be working in their warehouse and kitchen, and stocking shelves. Another crew will be at one of the supply farms of Pete’s Produce, harvesting and planting. Additional agents will participate by decorating the boxes that will transport the food items out into the community.

Ashley Lubrano di Caruozzo continued, “This day of service helps us see the real-life challenges of those living right in our community and a way to offer our assistance. At the end of the day, it’s about being better. Bettering the lives of others, coming from contribution and always doing the right thing.”
