Stolen Vehicle Suspect Arrested in Chester City

WEST CHESTER, PA — The Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department announced that David Lamont Jones, age 54, was arrested by the Chester City Police and transported to the Chester County Prison pending arraignment and preliminary hearing. Jones is accused of the theft of two separate cargo vans.

On March 27, 2021, at 12:55 PM, David Jones was stopped by police operating a white 2005 Ford F450 cargo van for no illuminated taillights. As a result of their investigation, officers determined that the Ford cargo van was stolen at the time of the traffic stop. Further investigation determined that Jones arrived in the area in a second stolen Ford E250 van.
