Second Exton Carjacker Arrested by U.S. MarshallGary Dunbar (West Whiteland Police Department)

EXTON, PA — The West Whiteland Township Police Department report that the U.S. Marshalls and Raleigh North Carolina Police Department arrested Gary Dunbar on Wednesday,  March 25, 2020.

Gary Dunbar, and his alleged accomplice Andrew M.  Joyner, are accused of the recent Boscov’s theft and carjacking at the Exton Square Mall on Saturday, February 8, 2020.

Joyner was arrested on Thursday, February 20th, 2020 in New York City by members of the New York Police Department and NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force.

Both subjects are accused of threatening a Boscov’s loss prevention officer with hammers when approached. The subjects fled the Exton Square Mall and ran towards the nearby Starbucks store, forcing a motorist out of his vehicle by force, stated police.

The suspects then fled in the stolen vehicle and were pursued by a neighboring police department before evading arrest, police say.

Dunbar’s extradition back to Pennsylvania is pending.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
