West Whiteland Police Department (WWPD)

WEST CHESTER, PA — The West Whiteland Police were called to the intersection of Pottstown Pike and Kirkland Ave for a disturbance by a passerby on Tuesday, April 14, at 1:30 pm.

Upon arrival, police were informed members of the Devereux School staff were restraining a client who left campus and would not return.

During staff attempts to restrain the client, an unidentified white male appeared on location in a red Jeep with an unknown registration plate.

The individual drew a firearm and pointed it at the Devereux staff, say police.

Once the suspect learned that Devereux staff had dialed 911, the unidentified male told staff he was a 30-year police veteran and then left the scene.

The West Whiteland Township Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in this case. If anyone was passing this area and witnessed any part of this incident, police are asking you to contact the West Whiteland Township Police Department Criminal Investigation Division at 610-363-0200.
