WEST CHESTER, PA — The West Chester Police are investigating a series of thefts that took place in the month of December. Four separate thefts were discovered and reported between December 4th and December 31st, all involving the theft of catalytic converters from parked cars.
According to authorities, all the thefts took place overnight on weekdays. Two of the thefts took place in the 200 block of Price Street, and one each from the parking lots of 300 and 304 East Marshall Street. All four of the thefts in the West Chester Borough involved Honda SUV’s, specifically Elements and CRV’s. The suspect vehicle in this case fled police in a small black sedan believed to be a Saturn Ion. Police state the vehicle was displaying a stolen Pennsylvania license plate.
Additionally, West Goshen Police have received similar complaints involving catalytic converters being cut off Honda SUVs. Police are reminding residents to report any and all suspicious activity and/or behavior. They are also asking that anyone with information about these thefts contact the West Chester Police Department.
