WEST CHESTER, PA — Doreen Harner, age 51, this week was sentenced to 39-96 months in prison for Possession With Intent to Deliver and Involuntary Manslaughter for her role in the overdose death of a woman she and her son sold fentanyl to in 2018.

The defendant pled guilty in February 2020. Her son, Patrick Harner, age 26, was sentenced in June 2020 to 3-6 years in prison.

Authorities state that on September 14, 2018, Doreen and Patrick Harner delivered heroin mixed with fentanyl to the victim.

Phoenixville Police found the victim dead of a fatal overdose the next day and were later able to arrange a purchase from the Harners, which lead to their arrest.

Phoenixville Police Department detectives investigated the case. Chester County Deputy District Attorney Michelle V. Barone was the prosecutor.
