WEST CHESTER, PA — The Chester County District Attorney’s Office announced that Rickey Endy, age 61 of Downingtown, has been sentenced to 11½ to 23 months in Chester County Prison for assaulting two women on the Struble Trail in 2019. The defendant had pleaded guilty in October 2020 to two counts of indecent assault.
Authorities state that on May 19, 2019, Downingtown Police responded to a report of a woman who was assaulted as she jogged on the Struble Trail. The victim said a man riding a bike grabbed her buttocks and said, “Hey, Baby.”
As police spoke to the first victim, a man matching the victim’s description rode past on a bike. A second victim was running behind him and said that he also had assaulted her. Police apprehended the defendant in Kardon Park, where the Stuble Trail ends. A witness then reported that she had seen the defendant attempt to grab two other women’s buttocks along the trail.
Downingtown Police investigated, and Stefanie Friedman was the prosecutor.
