Coatesville Woman, Caregivers Stole from Senior Citizen Patient, Police SayCharlique Boggs, 35 of Coatesville (West Whiteland Police Department)

WEST WHITELAND, PA — The West Whiteland Township Police Department has charged Charlique Boggs, 35, of Coatesville, with Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition, Access Device Fraud and Receiving Stolen Property.

Boggs was charged after an investigation into a reported theft from a 68-year-old township resident. The resident reported the theft of over $34,000 in cash over a six-month period.

The victim stated an unknown person had withdrawn money from her account and made two car payments.

Boggs, who was working for the victim in a senior care capacity at the time, became a suspect because her name was allegedly linked to the two car payments.

Other information was obtained which allegedly linked Boggs to the thefts from the victim’s bank account, say Police.

Boggs was arraigned by Judge John Bailey on February 11, 2019. Her bail was set at $50,000 unsecured. Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for February 27, 2020.
