KENNETT SQUARE, PA — LCH Health and Community Services and Community Volunteers in Medicine (CVIM) have been selected as grant awardees of the AstraZeneca Foundation’s new Creating Health Access for Next Generation Equity (CHANGE) program, which aims to advance health equity and improve access to quality healthcare for people experiencing disadvantages due to their race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, and more. This funding will provide critical support to individuals and families in Chester County with access to high-quality and affordable healthcare.

LCH serves the region with primary care, pediatrics, women’s health care, dental services, behavioral health services, and social assistance through its three health centers in Kennett Square, West Grove, and Oxford. CVIM’s West Chester Health Center offers medical care, behavioral health services, dental care, health education, social services, and free medications.

LCH and CVIM are dedicated to improving access to vital medical, social, and behavioral health services. Both organizations deliver services through qualified providers, compassionate staff, and state-of-the-art facilities so that patients benefit from excellent care regardless of their ability to pay.

“We’re grateful to the AstraZeneca Foundation for this new CHANGE grant and its commitment to helping us continue our mission to improve the health and well-being of people in our communities,” said LCH CEO Ronan W. Gannon. “This support will allow us to expand access to equitable care in our community. Advancing health equity has been our goal for 50 years, and we are thankful to have this partnership in that effort.”

Maureen Tomoschuk, President and CEO of Community Volunteers in Medicine, says “CVIM brings together volunteers, donors, and partners to provide compassionate care for uninsured workers and their families.  We are grateful to the AstraZeneca Foundation for supporting this caring network and helping us expand access to care in our community.”
