WEST CHESTER, PA — The Shop on Market St., an authentic barbershop located in West Chester, announced that it has joined forces with Blue Beards for Charity, a nonprofit, backed by officers in 18 Chester County police departments, established to support four local causes.
From October through November, participating Chester County Police officers, normally forbidden to grow beards, who donate $100 are permitted to grow facial hair, culminating in the 2nd Annual “Shave Off” benefiting Blue Beards for Charity.
When: Saturday, November 27th from 10 am – 2 pm
Where: The Shop on Market St. barbershop, West Chester, PA 19382
To show support for the local law enforcement, the Shave Off event is open to the public. The festivities will feature food, drinks, games and fun for the entire family.
Additionally, The Shop, which is owned and operated by longtime West Chester barbers Ashly White and Christina Hughes, will donate 100% of the proceeds of every booked shave during the entire month of November to Blue Beards for Charities.
Last year’s fundraising reached $40,000 to support:
- Unite for HER
- The Sambuco Children’s Educational Fund
- A Child’s Light
- Chester County Crime Victims Center
