KENNETT SQUARE, PA — In a heartwarming display of community support, LCH Health and Community Services teamed up with Concordville Subaru and Nissan to distribute 300 brand-new coats to children in southern Chester County. The distribution event took place on Thursday, November 2nd at the LCH West Grove health center, just in time for the first freeze of the season.

Staff from LCH spent the day assisting children from across the region in selecting a new coat in their favorite color. The annual event took place at the LCH West Grove Health Center, which also houses LCH Pediatrics. The initiative is part of LCH’s commitment to supporting the health and well-being of their young patients beyond medical care.

“One way we can support the health and well-being of our young patients is to make sure they have access to a warm coat that fits well,” said LCH CEO, Ronan W. Gannon. “Our friends at Concordville Subaru and Nissan do an amazing job of delivering brand new coats of every size from 2T to Adult XL in a variety of colors. The kids are proud to wear their nice new coats, and we are glad to know that their health is better protected through the winter months.”

The children proudly wore their new coats, and LCH was pleased to contribute to their health protection during the cold winter months. The coats were donated by regional auto dealerships and distributed through numerous community partners in Bucks, Montgomery, Philadelphia, Delaware, and Chester County.

Concordville Nissan and Subaru expressed pride in partnering with LCH and the CARing For Kids Foundation. “We are dedicated to being more than just a car dealership; we aspire to be a company that positively impacts the community,” said representatives from Concordville Nissan and Subaru.

The Auto Dealers CARing for Kids Foundation New Coat Program, now in its 16th year, involves nearly 180 dealerships in Philadelphia and surrounding counties. The program provides essential winter coats for children living in poverty, meeting a significant need in the Philadelphia five-county area.

Local social service agencies, healthcare providers, homeless shelters, YMCAs, and public schools have listed winter coats as one of the most requested items among the populations they serve. Through the generous supply of brand-new coats, the distribution network has been able to put smiles on countless children’s faces.

LCH Health and Community Services extended its gratitude to Concordville Subaru and Nissan and all who have supported this initiative. They are encouraging families and neighbors in southern Chester County to visit the West Grove health center to ensure their children have a warm and comfortable coat this winter.

The success of the coat distribution event underscores the power of community collaboration. It serves as a testament to the impact that businesses, healthcare providers, and community organizations can have when they come together to meet the needs of their community. As winter approaches, hundreds of children in southern Chester County will face the cold with warmth and comfort, thanks to the efforts of LCH Health and Community Services, Concordville Subaru and Nissan, and the CARing For Kids Foundation.
