Woman Arrested After Using Fake Money to Buy Gift Cards

NEW LONDON TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania State Police announced the arrest of a 28-year-old woman from West Grove, Chester County, Pennsylvania for using fake money to purchase gift cards.

Authorities state that on January 28, 2022, at 12:34 PM, a Black non-Hispanic female purchased two gift cards and loaded them with a total of $800.00 using counterfeit $100 bills at the 7-Eleven located at 2066 Newark Road, New London Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania. The suspect was seen leaving in a maroon 200 Jeep Cherokee Bearing Pennsylvania license LJV4673. The suspect was later identified by her Pennsylvania driver’s license. The Pennsylvania State Police from the Avondale Barracks stated this in an ongoing investigation.
