WILMINGTON, DE — A 33-year-old man has been charged following an alleged violation involving an off-highway vehicle, according to Wilmington Police.
The incident occurred on April 27, 2025, around 5:57 p.m., when officers spotted a male subject operating an off-highway vehicle in the 1000 block of North Park Drive. Police identified the man as Terrence Wells and subsequently seized the vehicle. Wells now faces multiple charges related to its use.
Authorities have reminded the public that operating off-highway vehicles like dirt bikes or ATVs on city streets, sidewalks, or parks violates the Wilmington City Code and the Delaware Criminal Code. Non-compliance can result in significant fines. Additionally, all such vehicles within Wilmington must be registered with the Division of Motor Vehicles and equipped with immobilization devices, such as wheel locks.
