West Whiteland PD Investigating Bomb Threat

EXTON, PA — Police were investigating a bomb threat that was called into the Sunrise Assisted Living facility, located at 200 Sunrise Boulevard ExtonPA on Tuesday.

Authorities state that an unknown male called the Sunrise Assisted Living facility at 6:50 a.m. on August 24, 2021. The male mentioned a bomb before terminating the call. Officers responded to the scene and began checking the area. The Chester County Sheriff’s Office responded with two canine units. The area around the facility was checked, but nothing suspicious was found.

The caller did not mention any specific threats. He reportedly sounded angry and talked very fast, which made it difficult for the employee to hear what he was saying. There is no known threat at this time.
