West Chester Resident Arrested for Aggravated Assault After Late Night Altercation

WEST CHESTER, PA — The West Chester Police Department announced the arrest of a 37-year-old West Chester resident in connection to a physical altercation that occurred in the 700 block of S. Franklin St.

Noah Cherella has been charged with Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, and Harassment.

The criminal complaint alleges that on May 22, 2023, at approximately 2:18 AM West Chester Police officers were dispatched to the report of a disturbance in the 700 block of S. Franklin St. Upon arrival officers made contact with the victim who stated that the suspect, identified as Noah Cherella, had initiated a physical altercation with them inside of their residence which resulted in injury requiring medical treatment. Cherella fled the scene but later returned and was taken into custody.

Cherella was taken to Chester County Prison for arraignment, and a preliminary hearing is awaiting scheduling at District Court 15-1-04.
