West Chester Police Arrest Parking Enforcement Officer for Alleged Theft

WEST CHESTER, PA – West Chester Police Department announced the arrest of 59-year-old Hector Mojica of Columbia, PA.

According to authorities, in September 2022 the West Chester Police Criminal Investigations Division began an investigation for internal theft within the Borough Parking Department. During the course of the investigation, the perpetrator was identified as Hector Mojica. Mojica was employed by West Chester Borough in the Parking Enforcement Division and was found to have allegedly stolen approximately $5,000.00 in cash from borough coffers.

The charges filed against Mojica are Theft by Unlawful Taking, Receiving Stolen Property and Failing to Make Required Disposition of Funds. A preliminary hearing is pending at District Court 15-1-04.

Information, a criminal complaint, or an arrest is not a declaration of guilt. A suspect, arrestee, or defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
