WEST CHESTER, PA — The Chester County District Attorney’s Office and the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force recently announced the arrest of Carlin Alexander, 32, of West Chester, after investigators found him with child pornography and forged military papers. He is charged with multiple counts of Dissemination and Possession of Child Pornography, Misrepresentation of Military Service or Honors and other offenses.

DA Deb Ryan said, “We are seeing far too many cases of child sexual abuse in Chester County, including child pornography. The defendant not only distributed and possessed child pornography but dishonored our U.S. military by forging papers to cover up a dishonorable discharge. We will get justice.”

Following are the allegations:

The defendant was arrested on August 12, 2021, by Chester County Detectives Detectives and West Chester Police following an investigation into child pornography that began earlier this year with a tip the ICAC Task Force got from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Detectives received information indicating the defendant had numerous images/videos at his West Chester home that showed child sexual abuse.

Found during a search warrant of his home on S. Church St. were electronic devices and a loaded handgun. Investigators retrieved thousands of child pornography images from the devices.

Forged military service papers also were seized showing a U.S. Marine dishonorable discharge as a private and an honorable discharge as a corporal.

The defendant is held on $130,000 cash bail. Chester County Detectives are investigating; Christine Abatemarco is the prosecutor. If you have any information about this crime or this defendant please contact call 610-344-6866.
