Warrant Issued for Man Who Failed to Appear in Court for Bad Checks

KENNETT SQUARE, PA – The Kennett Square Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating Maximo Munguia-Jimenez. An arrest warrant has been issued for him on January 25, 2023, after he failed to appear in court for a preliminary hearing relating to charges of writing bad checks.

Authorities stated that on August 19, 2022, officers were dispatched to a business in the 600 block of South Union Street after they received a report of fraudulent checks. It was determined that the business had cashed four checks within the previous few weeks, and all of them had come back as fraudulent. The three checks were written out to Maximo Munguia-Jimenez, and one was made payable to Jorge Hernandez-Hernandez, totaling $5,000. Charges were filed on November 6, 2022, at District Court 15-3-04.
