US Marshals Capture Attempted Homicide Suspect

COATESVILLE, PA — It’s been a little over a month since the shooting that rocked the city of Coatesville.

According to the criminal complaint, on February 6, at 5:02 PM, 22-year-old Dwayne Miller was shot once in the chest and transported to a local hospital. The victim underwent surgery and spent well over a week in the intensive care unit. The alleged perpetrator, Matthew C. Rodgers, was wanted by police for Attempted Criminal Homicide, Aggravated Assault, Illegal Possession of a Firearm, and other related offenses.

On Thursday, March 23, 2023, US Marshals apprehended Rodgers in Downingtown, PA.

Information, a criminal complaint, or an arrest is not a declaration of guilt. A suspect, arrestee, or defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
