Update to Officer-Involved Shooting in Caln Township

THORNDALE, PA — The Caln Township Police Department has released an update on the officer-involved shooting that took place Wednesday.

According to officials, the suspect involved in the incident has been identified as 56-year-old Richard Luminello of Houtzdale, PA, who is now in custody. Luminello was treated and released from Paoli Hospital after being shot by a police officer. He is currently facing a number of charges including Attempted Criminal Homicide, Aggravated Assault; Vehicle Theft, Fleeing & Eluding Police, Resisting Arrest, and other related charges.

Luminello is also wanted for breaking the rules of his parole. He was taken to Chester County Prison and is awaiting arraignment.
