POCOPSON TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania State Police announced they are investigating the theft of a $10,257.21 check that was stolen from a mailbox in Pocopson Township, Chester County.

Authorities state that on September 7, 2022, Troopers from the Avondale Station responded to the 1600 block of Watergeln Drive to investigate the alleged theft. The 66-year-old victim reported that the check was written payable to the Unionville-Chadds Ford School District. This incident is a developing story as the police investigation is ongoing.
