WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police have arrested 28-year-old Asia Young in connection with a robbery that occurred on June 1, 2025, as well as an unrelated outstanding warrant.
At approximately 4:22 p.m., officers from the Uniformed Services Division responded to the 700 block of North Market Street following reports of a robbery. Upon arrival, police gathered a description of the suspect. Shortly thereafter, a woman matching the description provided was located on the 300 block of West 7th Street.
The individual, later identified as Asia Young, was taken into custody without incident. During the investigation, it was determined that she was also wanted for an unrelated matter.
Young has been charged with second-degree robbery and a crime against a vulnerable adult, in addition to her outstanding warrants. She was arraigned before Justice of the Peace Court 11 and subsequently committed to the Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution. Her bail was set at $500 secured.
Law enforcement officials remind the public that all suspects and arrestees are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
