Police Seek to Identify Suspect in Rite Aid Cell Phone Heist

POTTSTOWN, PA — The North Coventry Township Police Department has announced a criminal investigation and is actively pursuing the identification of the individual depicted in released images.

Investigators state that on August 19, 2023, at approximately 8:23 PM, the suspect was seen entering the Rite Aid located at 1140 Town Square Road, Pottstown, and selecting a Nokia C100 Android 12 cell phone. The suspect then allegedly placed the phone under his shirt and exited the store, passing all points of sale without paying for the full retail value. The subject is believed to be homeless and seen frequently in Pottstown Borough.
