Police Nab Thief Attempting to Break into Parked Vehicles

WEST CHESTER, PA — The West Chester Police announced the arrest of a 33-year-old West Chester resident on theft charges.

The criminal complaint alleges that on May 7, 2023, at approximately 3:30 PM, Officers responded to the 300 Block of W. Nields St. for the report of a male attempting to break into parked vehicles. While checking the area officers made contact with the suspect, identified as 33-year-old Guy Fielder of West Chester, PA. Following an investigation Fielder was taken into custody for 2 counts of attempted theft from vehicles.

Fielder was transported back to the West Chester Police Department, where he was processed and subsequently released on a summons. A preliminary hearing is currently pending at District Court 15-1-01.
