WEST CHESTER, PA — The Chester County District Attorney’s Office announced that Andrew Taylor, age 55, was convicted by a jury of invasion of privacy for looking at a woman’s naked body while she was in Phoenixville Hospital’s emergency room in January 2020.

The 52-year-old victim told Phoenixville Police that she was asleep in an exam room when she woke to find the defendant looking under her hospital gown. Investigators later discovered that the defendant had a romantic interest in the victim that was not reciprocated.

DA Deb Ryan said, “Everyone should feel safe inside a hospital, but the defendant’s criminal actions caused the victim to feel embarrassed, disgusted and violated. The victim demonstrated strength and bravery throughout the investigation and trial. Thank you to the jurors for bringing her justice.”

Phoenixville Police investigated. Assistant District Attorneys Kate Wright and Santina Pescatore were the assigned prosecutors. The defendant will be sentenced at a later date.
