Philadelphia Man Charged with Theft in Chester County

WEST CHESTER, PA — Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department announced that 26-year-old Davon Lewis from Philadelphia has been charged with Retail Theft and related offenses following an investigation.

The criminal complaint alleges that on August 21, 2023, the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department was dispatched to the Rite Aid in the 1500 block of West Chester Pike, Westtown Township, for a theft that just occurred. After an investigation, Davon Lewis from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was identified as the offender who stole a $500.00 gift card from the store by distracting an employee.

An arrest summons was issued for Davon Lewis as a result of this investigation.

Information, a criminal complaint, or an arrest is not a declaration of guilt. A suspect, arrestee, or defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
