PENN TWP, PA — Pennsylvania State Police from the Avondale Barracks announced the arrest of a 20-year-old man from Philadelphia after he fled a traffic stop.

Officials state that on February 15, at 2:33 AM, Troopers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a white Dodge Charger in the area of U.S. Route 1 and PA Route 796 in Penn Township, Chester County. The Charger immediately accelerated leading Troopers on a high-speed pursuit for roughly 25 miles. The vehicle came to a stop after Pennsylvania State Police Media successfully deployed spike strips causing the fleeing vehicle to lose three out of its four tires. The vehicle’s two occupants were taken into custody without further incident. The investigation is ongoing.
