HARRISBURG, PA — William Lee Show, a 52-year-old man from Venango County, has been sentenced to a lengthy prison term of 50 to 100 years. Declared a sexually violent predator by the sentencing judge, Show faced numerous charges stemming from the sexual abuse of children, marking a significant milestone in the ongoing battle against child exploitation.

The charges against Show included multiple felony counts related to the manufacturing and possession of child pornography, as well as indecent assault of minor victims. The comprehensive investigation by the Office of Attorney General, in collaboration with the Pennsylvania State Police, culminated in the execution of a search warrant in February. This operation uncovered incriminating evidence on Show’s electronic devices, featuring child sexual abuse material and images depicting Show in the act of assaulting children.

Show entered a guilty plea in May, acknowledging his reprehensible conduct. The Venango County Court delivered its sentence on Thursday, effectively removing Show’s ability to harm children in the future. Attorney General Michelle Henry lauded the efforts of the investigative team, stating, “The hard work and collaboration of investigators exposed this child predator, and the end result is that he will never again have an opportunity to harm another child. With this prosecution, we upheld our sworn obligation to remove from society dangerous offenders who prey on the most vulnerable, our children.”

The initial investigation was set in motion following a report from the Cyber Tipline about the sharing of child sexual abuse material. During an interview with investigators, Show confessed not only to possessing the illicit material but also to engaging in sexual contact with three children over recent years. His criminal history includes prior convictions for indecent assault of a minor under 13 years of age and luring a child into a motor vehicle, further highlighting the threat he posed to society.
