PA State Police Investigating Fatal Hit-and-Run in Chester County

WEST NOTTINGHAM TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania State Police say they continue to investigate a fatal hit-and-run accident that occurred in 2020.

Authorities stated that Troopers from the Avondale Station were dispatched to Pennsylvania Route 272 at Cemetery Rd/Union School Road, West Nottingham Township, Chester County on August 6, 2020, at approximately 1:41 AM for a pedestrian on the roadway. Troopers arrived on the scene and immediately began providing care. The 23-year-old victim sustained serious injuries. The scene was processed and believed that the victim was struck by a vehicle that fled after the crash. The victim was identified as Nicholas Sullins of Nottingham, PA who succumbed to the injuries sustained during the crash on August 14, 2020.

The Pennsylvania State Police, Avondale Station, Criminal Investigation Unit, is asking for the public’s assistance in providing any information regarding the vehicle and operator. Anyone with information is asked to contact the criminal investigation unit at 610-268-2022.
