PA State Police Arrest Delaware Woman on Theft Charges

KENNETT SQUARE, PA — The Pennsylvania State Police announced that a  resident of Wilmington, Delaware has been arrested on theft charges.

Ericka Scott has been arrested and charged with Retail Theft and related offenses after a police investigation revealed that the 33-year-old woman stole grocery items from the Walmart located at 516 School House Road in East Marlborough Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania.

Authorities state that on September 14, 2022, at 3:16 PM, Troopers from the Avondale station responded to the Walmart for a reported theft. Their investigation revealed that Scott allegedly attempted to leave the store with roughly $236 worth of stolen merchandise. After her arrest, Scott was taken to Chester County Prison to await arraignment.

Information, a criminal complaint, or an arrest is not a declaration of guilt. A suspect, arrestee, or defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
