WEST CHESTER, PA — Wednesday, August 17th, was a typical day on the job for the West Chester Police Department until officers were dispatched to the 300 Block of W. Chestnut St for an unconscious female.

When police arrived on the scene, they made contact with Paige Lafferty, a 31-year-old female from Oxford, PA. What followed was anything but typical. Lafferty became combative and grabbed hold of an officer’s gun. She then kicked him before she was subdued and taken into custody without further incident.

Lafferty has been charged with Aggravated Assault, Public Drunkenness, and Criminal Mischief. She was remanded to Chester County Prison pending a preliminary hearing.
