Oxford Woman Apprehended on Active Warrants, Extradition Pending

OXFORD, PA — A 41-year-old woman from Oxford, Pennsylvania, was taken into custody by local police on May 1, 2025, following confirmation of active arrest warrants.

According to the Oxford Police Department, officers observed Jolene McMahan in the 300 block of Nottingham Avenue and recognized her as a person wanted on outstanding warrants. Authorities reported seeing McMahan enter a white Tesla, which was then stopped in the 100 block of Grant Street.

McMahan was apprehended without incident and transported to the Oxford Police Department. Subsequent checks verified she had an active Chester County bench warrant and a criminal arrest warrant issued in Maryland.

After her arrest, custody of McMahan was transferred to Pennsylvania constables for transport to Chester County Prison. Additionally, the Cecil County Sheriff’s Office in Maryland has filed a detainer for extradition, seeking McMahan’s return to face charges in their jurisdiction.

All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
