Man Sought by Coatesville Police After Shooting Leaves Victim in Critical Condition

COATESVILLE. PA – The City of Coatesville Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating 25-year-old Matthew Rodgers.

Rodgers is wanted for allegedly shooting 22-year-old Dwayne Miller on February 6, 2023, at 5:02 PM. The victim was shot once in the chest and was transported to a local hospital where he underwent surgery and spent well over a week in the intensive care unit.

Authorities stated that Rodgers is aware that he is wanted for this incident and that he is also wanted for a state parole violation. He is charged with Attempted Criminal Homicide, Aggravated Assault, Illegal Possession of a Firearm, and other related offences.

Matthew Rodgers should be considered armed and dangerous, so do not approach him if you see him. If you have any information on his whereabouts, call the City of Coatesville Police Department at 610-384-2300.
