Man Arrested for Brutally Assaulting Victim in West Chester

WEST CHESTER, PA — In a disturbing act of violence, a man was arrested for assaulting another individual in West Chester.

On Friday, August 19, 2022, at 5:53 pm, police in West Chester responded to a report of an assault. Upon arrival, they found the victim with visible injuries. Their investigation determined that Roderick Strickland, age 51, had attacked the victim without provocation. During the assault, the victim had tried to call for help, but Strickland had taken away his phone. The victim was eventually able to get the phone back and call police.

Strickland is currently held in Chester County Prison on $20,000 cash bail and awaits a preliminary hearing.
