WEST CHESTER, PA —The West Chester Police Department has announced the arrest of Vaughn Yanko, a 22-year-old male from West Chester, on charges of Criminal Attempted Homicide, Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, and Recklessly Endangering Another Person.
Authorities stated that on January 22, 2023, at approximately 2:18 AM, an officer was in the area of High and Market Streets when he heard a gunshot. Officers discovered a male victim suffering from a single gunshot wound to the abdomen. The victim was transported to the hospital. Through an investigation, Vaughn Yanko was identified as the suspect and taken into custody at the scene. Yanko was transported to Chester County Prison for arraignment.
