Juvenile Arrested for Setting Off Firework in Crowd: Kennett Square Police

KENNETT SQUARE, PA — Kennett Square Police have arrested a juvenile for setting off a firework in a crowd of people. The incident occurred on June 22, 2022, at around 8:10 PM.

Officers were dispatched to the 100 Block of West State Street after receiving reports of criminal mischief. Surveillance footage from the scene shows that a group of juveniles set off a firework in the patio area of a local business. Other patrons were present at the time and were startled by the explosion. The juvenile male who set off the firework was later identified and arrested by Kennett Square Police.

On July 19, 2022, a juvenile was charged with Arson and Related Offenses (1 Count), Causing or Risking Catastrophe (1Count), Recklessly Endangering Another Person (1 Count), Criminal Mischief (1 Count), and Disorderly Conduct (1 Count). A Juvenile Allegation was sent to Chester County Juvenile Probation.
