Horsham Woman Arrested on Forgery, Fraud Charges

WEST CHESTER, PA — The West Chester Police Department announced the arrest of 24-year-old Kiesha Williams of Horsham, Pennsylvania on Forgery, Fraud, and related charges.

Authorities state that on January 26, 2022, West Chester Police took a theft report at a residence in the 800 block of Guthrie Road, East Bradford Township, regarding a check. The victim placed a check in the mail in December of 2021, but the check never reached its destination. On the day the theft was reported, the victim discovered the original check had been deposited into an account she was unfamiliar with and re-written to a different recipient. Through an investigation, Police determined that Kiesha Williams had unlawfully possessed the check. In May of 2022, an arrest warrant was obtained for Williams.

On May 9, 2022, Williams turned herself in to the West Chester Police Department on the following offenses:

  • Forgery
  • Access Device Fraud
  • Theft
  • Receiving Stolen Property

She was processed and then transported to Chester County Prison for arraignment. Bail was set at $50,000 unsecured. A preliminary hearing is scheduled at Chester County Magisterial District Court 15-1-01.
