Cochranville Man Arrested for Attempted Rape in Oxford

OXFORD, PA — The Oxford Police Department announced the arrest of Terrence Franklin, age 26, of Cochranville, for Attempted Rape and related crimes.

Franklin is accused of assaulting a female victim at the Whitehall Acres Apartments in Oxford on September 20, 2022. Upon receiving a report of a domestic disturbance, Oxford Police officers were dispatched to the Whitehall Acres Apartments at 2:12 am. Upon arrival, they made contact with a female victim who provided evidence of having been sexually and physically assaulted by the suspect, Terrance Franklin. Franklin had left the residence prior to the Officer’s arrival.

Based on the victim’s testimony and the evidence gathered, the suspect was apprehended when he returned to the apartment complex later that day and is currently being held at Chester County Prison.

Franklin has been charged with the following offenses:

  • Attempted Rape
  • Involuntary Deviant Sexual Intercourse
  • Sexual Assault
  • Indecent Assault-Person Unconscious
  • Harassment
