Coatesville Man Identified as Deceased Victim in Moose Lodge Shooting

COATESVILLE, PA — The Chester County District Attorney’s Office and West Caln Township Police Department announced that 27-year-old Dejar Jones of Coatesville was the man shot to death at Coatesville’s Moose Lodge on November 27, 2021. A 31-year-old victim of Downingtown, also shot and wounded, was released from the hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.

DA Deb Ryan said, “It is always a senseless tragedy when someone loses their life to violence, especially when a gun is involved. My office sends its deepest sympathy to the family of Dejar Jones. We are tirelessly investigating the two shootings at the Moose Lodge, but detectives need the public’s help. Authorities state that the investigation is ongoing. Information is subject to change at any time. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
