WILMINGTON, DE — Delaware State Police have arrested 30-year-old Auston Pratt of Wilmington in connection with an alleged assault and disturbance at a local restaurant on May 7, 2025.
Authorities responded to Lucy’s Restaurant on North Market Street at approximately 9:37 a.m. after receiving reports of a disorderly individual. Pratt reportedly caused a disturbance by arguing with employees and customers and refused to leave when asked. He allegedly threatened to kill an employee, which escalated into a physical altercation.
According to police, Pratt is accused of punching the employee multiple times and restricting their breathing by placing his arm around the employee’s neck. The altercation ended before troopers arrived. The employee received treatment at a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, while Pratt sustained minor injuries.
After being released from the hospital, Pratt was charged with strangulation, third-degree assault, terroristic threatening, and disorderly conduct. He was arraigned and committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on a $5,500 secured bond.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
