Armenian Man Arrested for Stealing Vehicle in West Chester

WEST CHESTER, PA — The West Chester Police Department announced the arrest of Vahe Serobyan, age 41, of Armenia, on vehicle theft charges.

Authorities stated that on October 1, 2022, at 3:09 PM, the officers were dispatched to the 400 block of E. Miner Street for a report of a vehicle theft. The victim stated that they had seen the male subject, who was later identified as Vahe Serobyan, walking southbound on S. Worthington Street. Officers stopped Serobyan and the victim positively identified him as the thief.

Serobyan was placed under arrest and charged with Theft By Unlawful Taking and other related offenses. He was fingerprinted, photographed, and transported to Chester County Prison to be arraigned before a judge. The preliminary hearing is pending.
