Alleged Armed Robbery Shocks Bear Community as Suspects Flee in Stolen Car

BEAR, DE — Delaware State Police are investigating an alleged armed robbery that took place in the parking lot of the Salem Center shopping complex on Pulaski Highway.

The incident occurred on May 19, 2025, at approximately 2:15 p.m. According to preliminary findings, the victim was reportedly involved in an argument with one individual in the parking lot when a second suspect approached the scene. The second individual is said to have displayed a handgun, after which both suspects conspired to steal the victim’s vehicle. Following the alleged robbery, the suspects fled the scene in the stolen car.

Authorities describe the suspects as two unidentified males. At this time, no surveillance footage or images have been made available to assist the investigation.

The Delaware State Police Troop 2 Robbery Unit is actively investigating the case and is urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
