WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police announced the arrest of a 35-year-old man on drug charges following an investigation.
Duane Williams has been charged with the Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver and releated drug offenses.
The criminal complaint alleges that beginning in August, members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division have been conducting an investigation into illegal drug sales in the 500 block of East 8th Street. On August 11, at 10:09 a.m., police executed a search warrant in that block and took 35-year-old Duane Williams into custody without incident. Police recovered 1,366.52 grams of marijuana, 4 MDMA pills, $1,218, and drug paraphernalia.
Williams was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 20 and was released on $6,500 unsecured bail.
