Wilmington Police Seeking Public’s Assistance in Connection With Hit-And-Run

WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police are requesting the assistance of the public in connection with a hit-and-run collision involving a pedestrian.

Authorities stated at on November 26 at approximately 9:53 p.m., police were dispatched to the unit block of South Market Street – at South Market Street and Rosa Parks Drive – in reference to a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian. Officers located a 45-year-old male who had been struck by a vehicle, which fled the scene. The victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

Further investigation has determined that the striking vehicle appears to be a green two-door Toyota, possibly a Solaro or Camry with a model year in the late 1990s or early 2000s.

This incident remains under investigation and anyone with information on the striking vehicle or its operator is being asked to contact Detective J. Richey at (302) 576-3620. Information may also be provided to Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333 or www.delawarecrimestoppers.org.
