Wilmington Police Recover Stolen Gun and Marijuana

WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police announced the arrest of 21-year-old Edwin Rivera-Millet on gun and drug charges.

Authorities state that on December 10 at approximately 10:37 p.m., members of Wilmington’s Safe Streets Task Force conducted a vehicle stop in the 1200 block of Elm Street.  The driver, identified as Edwin Rivera-Millet, fled from the vehicle.  Police quickly took Rivera-Millet into custody without incident.  Police recovered a loaded .45 caliber handgun that was reported stolen, and 7.9 grams of marijuana.

Rivera-Millet was charged with the following offenses in addition to several traffic violations:

  • Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
  • Receiving a Stolen Firearm
  • Resisting Arrest
  • Possession of Marijuana

He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and released on $7,250 secured bail.
