Wilmington Police Make Arrests in October Assault

WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police announced the arrest of 20-year-old Ta’seer Tillman and 23-year-old Jakai Randall following an assault investigation.

Authorities stated that on October 16 at approximately 4:37 p.m., police responded to the 1200 block of West 2nd Street for an assault complaint.  Police located a 53-year-old male assault victim who was transported to the hospital in critical condition.  The case was assigned to Detective Brendan Shea of the Criminal Investigations Division.  Through the course of his investigation, Detective Shea identified Ta’seer Tillman and Jakai Randall as suspects.  Warrants were drafted for both suspects who were taken into custody without incident.

Tillman was charged with the following offenses:

  • Assault – 1st Degree
  • Conspiracy – 2nd Degree

He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and released after posting $2,500 secured bail.

Randall was charged with the following offenses:

  • Assault – 1st Degree
  • Conspiracy – 2nd Degree

He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 211 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $8,500 secured bail.
