Wilmington Police Make Arrest Following Raid in Stroud Street

WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police announced the arrest of 27-year-old Jaiayre Brown on gun and drug charges.

The criminal complaint alleges that on April 19, at approximately 10:03 p.m., members of Wilmington’s Safe Streets Task Force executed a search warrant in the 200 block of Stroud Street. Officers took 27-year-old Jaiayre Brown into custody without incident. Police recovered a loaded 9mm handgun, and 60 grams of marijuana.

Brown was charged with the following offenses:

  • Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited – Three Counts
  • Possession of Marijuana

Brown was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $10,100 cash-only bail.
