Wilmington Police Investigating Afternoon Shooting on West 23rd Street

WILMINGTON, DE —The Wilmington Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that took place on Thursday, December 7th, 2023, in the 100 block of West 23rd Street.

The incident occurred at approximately 4:06 p.m., when police responded to reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, officers located a 25-year-old male who had sustained gunshot wounds. The victim was promptly transported to a local hospital, where he is reported to be in stable condition.

As of now, authorities are withholding additional information about the victim and the circumstances surrounding the incident.
