Wilmington Police Investigate Shooting Incident on North Jackson Street

WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police announced they are investigating what has been determined to have been a shooting incident that occurred at approximately 2:42 p.m. on April 29 in the 800 block of North Jackson Street.

Detectives stated that on April 29, police officers were dispatched to the area of 14th and Rodney Streets in reference to a subject suffering from a gunshot wound related to an incident that did not take place at that location. Police located a 36-year-old male gunshot victim, who was transported to the hospital in stable condition.

Through the course of their investigation, Detectives Derek Haines and Ryan Kilmon of the Criminal Investigations Division have since determined that the victim’s injury was the result of a shooting incident that took place in the 800 block of North Jackson Street.

Authorities have reported that this incident currently remains under investigation.
